EquipmentDigital Rebellion's post production facilities were designed to be fully high definition (HD) compatible. We have the ability to handle uncompressed footage up to 2K resolution and compressed footage at any resolution. Our system is not even running at full capacity so it is constantly being tweaked and updated to ensure we can consistently offer the fastest, most cost-effective service possible to our clients without cutting corners or scrimping on quality. BackboneEach machine is connected via multiple ultra-fast fibre optic connections to our file server that, in turn, manages our multi-terrabyte fast RAID storage array. The server runs Apple Xsan Storage Area Network (SAN) software to ensure that each machine has full access to 14 TB of hard disk space, which is more than enough for 2K feature film work.We also have a tape backup system and some extra RAIDs for data redundancy. Backup tapes, once filled, are stored off-site. This ensures the safety of your hard-earned footage. We know from experience with Panasonic P2 shoots that this can be a constant worry for cast and crew, but you can rest easily in the knowledge that our facilities were designed with this very aspect in mind. SystemsWe have Mac Pro and PowerMac G5 workstations hooked up to multiple large widescreen HD displays for editing. We edit on Apple Final Cut Pro, with AJA Konas for input and output. Each machine has at least 8 GBs of RAM and 10,000 RPM internal hard drives to ensure we can work as efficiently as possible on your project. For compositing, we use a combination of Shake, Boujou and Furnace. Their time-saving features allow us to give you maximum value for money and complete satisfaction. For color grading we use Apple Color. | ||
